Papilloma viruses (f. Papillomaviridae) are small icosahedral (T=7 symmetry) viruses containing a double stranded DNA (dsDNA) genome.

HPV or Human Papilloma Virus causes cervical cancer and other cancers around the body. A vaccine is now available against some strains. This vaccine was developed in Australia by Prof. Ian Frazer.
